The President of the Civic Movement (GP) URA, Dritan Abazović, announced today that he welcomes this morning's action by the SDT and SPO, in which several people were arrested on suspicion of participating in cigarette smuggling through the territory of Montenegro.
Abazović emphasized in the statement that "the continuity of activities that began three years ago speaks to the scope and number of people involved in illegal activities, but also to the breakthroughs that, despite all the obstructions, are being overcome in the best possible way."
"Everything we've been talking about, what we've been revealing, and the names we've introduced to the public are slowly but surely turning out to be absolutely true. We still have work to do, but the 'hand of justice' doesn't stop! We're heading towards the super final," said Abazović.
He expressed special gratitude to the Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović, the Head of the SPO Predrag Šuković and their entire team who, as he said, work tirelessly to make Montenegro a fairer, better and more functional state.
"Let's move on! We work for the citizens every day - 'Montenegro 365'", concluded Abazović.
In one of the largest operations by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) and the Special Police Department (SPO), several former senior police officials, businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović and Senior State Prosecutor Andrijana Nastic, were arrested this morning.
According to "Vijesti", the former head of the Podgorica Security Center Milovan Pavicevic, police officer Vladan Lazovic, former assistant director of the Police Administration, and former head of counterintelligence protection at the National Security Agency Drago Spicanovic were arrested.
