The war between the Montenegrin clans continued today with the murder of one of the high-ranking members of the Cetinje cell of the Škalja clan, near Trsteno beach.
According to "Vijesti", the body of a thirty-three-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the head, in a Golf car, on the road between the beaches of Jaz and Trsteno.
Although, according to unofficial information, the police have operational information about the identity of the murdered man, the institution has not yet commented.
"Vijesti" was told an hour before midnight that the investigation was ongoing and was being led by Senior State Prosecutor Ana Radović.
She did not respond to a call from a "Vijesti" reporter.
A source close to the investigation said that the body of the murdered man was found by firefighters, who were notified around 18 p.m. that the car had gone off the road, after which they alerted the police.
An interviewee for "Vijesti" close to the investigation said that the man was shot through the windshield.
"All available forces of the Police Directorate are currently operational to track down the murderer or several of them," the Police Directorate said unofficially tonight.
The man, who is believed to be the victim of the latest murder, has been on the run for years, and according to police information, he was an important link in the Cetinje cell of the Skaljar crime clan.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) accuses him of cocaine smuggling and participation in serious criminal acts.
The police searched his house in Cetinje several times, but did not find him during those operations.
Today's murder is the second in the past month and a half committed in Kotor, in a showdown between criminal clans - alleged member of the Skaljar clan Radovan Krivokapić (44), nicknamed Mesar, was killed on August 29th on the doorstep of his family home, in the local settlement of Zlatne njive.
In the war between Montenegrin clans since the end of 2014, several dozen people have been killed, including accidental victims.
At the end of September, on the road from Cetinje to Budva, Stefan Belada and Andrija Ivanović, alleged members of the Skaljar clan, were killed in the continuation of that confrontation.
They were killed on September 24th in the village of Ugnja.
Their bodies were found that day in a car parked on a macadam extension of a local road, about 250 meters from the Cetinje - Budva highway.
According to the investigation so far, they were killed with two weapons.
