Ćorović: Montenegro must be a safe place for everyone, especially for young people and guests

Bosniak MP Jasmin Ćorović said that Montenegro must be a safe place for everyone, "especially young people and especially guests."

He spoke out regarding the incident in Podgorica, in which a fifteen-year-old from Sarajevo was attacked.

"Peer violence in Montenegro is becoming more than worrying, the state should address this problem more seriously, because what it has been doing so far is clearly not yielding results. Violence caused by religious and national hatred and intolerance is a trend that has been present in Montenegro for too long, and which our society not only does not confront, but some of its segments support and encourage. State authorities must not remain silent about today's case and we demand that they conduct a detailed investigation and determine all aspects of the events in Podgorica, and that they call each aspect by its true name and implement appropriate procedures. Any hiding of facts and any relativization of certain facts under the guise of others is a path in the wrong direction that will not lead us to a civil and free society. Montenegro must be a safe place for everyone, especially young people and especially guests," Ćorović said.
