Boban Sjekloca was killed.

Cetinje resident Boban Sjekloća (33) was killed yesterday around 18 pm in the continuation of the war between Montenegrin clans, "Vijesti" was told unofficially.

The body of this high-ranking member of the Cetinje cell of the Škalja clan was found near Trsteno beach in a Golf car with wounds to the head.

Senior State Prosecutor Ana Radović told "Vijesti" that a certain number of shell casings were found during the investigation, and that she ordered an expert examination of the seized traces.

"The victim was identified as BS (33). During the investigation, a certain number of traces and shell casings were found, which will be examined at the Forensic Center," she said.

She added that the body was found in a "Golf Plus" vehicle with Podgorica license plates.

A source close to the investigation said that the body of the murdered man was found by firefighters, who were notified around 18 p.m. that the car had gone off the road, after which they alerted the police.

An interviewee for "Vijesti" close to the investigation said that the man was shot through the windshield.

"All available forces of the Police Directorate are currently operational to track down the murderer or several of them," the Police Directorate said unofficially tonight.

Sjekloća had been on the run for years, and according to police data, he was an important link in the Cetinje cell of the Škaljari criminal clan.

The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) accuses him of smuggling half a ton of cocaine and participating in serious crimes, namely that he assisted in the liquidations of Andrija Gazivoda and Pero Muhadinović in 2020 in Cetinje.

The police searched his house in Cetinje several times, but did not find him during those operations.

Today's murder is the second in the past month and a half committed in Kotor, in a showdown between criminal clans - alleged member of the Skaljar clan Radovan Krivokapić (44), nicknamed Mesar, was killed on August 29th on the doorstep of his family home, in the local settlement of Zlatne njive.

In the war between Montenegrin clans since the end of 2014, several dozen people have been killed, including accidental victims.

At the end of September, on the road from Cetinje to Budva, Stefan Belada and Andrija Ivanović, alleged members of the Skaljar clan, were killed in the continuation of that confrontation.

They were killed on September 24th in the village of Ugnja.

Their bodies were found that day in a car parked on a macadam extension of a local road, about 250 meters from the Cetinje - Budva highway.

According to the investigation so far, they were killed with two weapons.
