68 detainees are on strike in the Podgorica Remand Prison, 40 of whom are refusing food, said the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS), stating that the detainees' health condition is stable.
The UIKS statement states that detainees participating in the hunger strike have been provided with comprehensive and continuous health care.
"Medical staff are continuously monitoring their health condition, with a special focus on monitoring vital parameters," the statement said.
It is emphasized that the current health condition of the striking detainees is stable.
"UIKS continues to implement all necessary measures to protect the health of detainees, and in this regard, to maintain order and security in the Administration," the statement said.
