Budva police caught up with and detained all the actors in the incident, which was reported to the Police Directorate as a kidnapping, the institution announced.
Citizens reported to the Budva Security Department at around 12:30 p.m. that several people forcibly pushed a person into a Mercedes S-class with Podgorica license plates on Dositejeva Street, and that the car then drove away at high speed towards Kotor.

"Police officers immediately pursued this vehicle, where the Intervention Unit caught up with it near the Mogren Tunnel, where the driver of the vehicle, when he realized that they would be caught, suddenly stepped on the gas and started to overtake the column of vehicles, during which he caused a traffic accident by making contact with three vehicles, after which this vehicle went off the road in the town of Poljice. The driver managed to get out of the vehicle and get into another vehicle and drive away from the scene, while police officers found the passenger in the Mercedes, which had gone off the road, and a person who had been forcibly thrown into the vehicle," the statement reads.
Citizens reacted again and reported to the police that the driver of the Mercedes had gotten into the Peugeot, and that the vehicle was heading towards Budva at high speed.
"The police caught up with and stopped the vehicle in question, which contained three people - the person in question and two other people, one of whom had documents while two did not. All of the people are citizens of the Republic of Turkey. The people were brought to the premises of the Budva Security Department. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor and the Senior State Prosecutor in Podgorica were notified of the incident. Police proceedings to establish all the facts are ongoing," the police announced.
