The Supreme Court Council accepted the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) and extended the detention for another three months for the former head of the Danilovgrad Security Department, Marko Drobnjak, Podgorica residents Mate Knežević and Žarko Vukadinović, aircraft service controller at the Airports of Montenegro Goran Čulić, and the owner of the company "Pro Imel" Ivan Popović.
Their detention was extended due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the crime of creating a criminal organization, as well as due to the risk of flight, the Supreme Court announced.
Drobnjak and Knežević were previously remanded in custody by a decision of the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica on 10 July, and extended by a decision of the panel of that court on 8 August. Čulić and Popović were remanded in custody by a decision of the Higher Court panel on 12 July, and extended by a decision of the panel of that court on 8 August, while Vukadinović was remanded in custody by a decision of the investigating judge of the Higher Court on 14 July, and extended by a decision of the panel of that court on 8 August.
