The Special State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against a criminal group that, according to their claims, was formed by Nikšić resident Radomir Boban Baćović, the prosecutor's office announced.

The statement states that, after completing the investigation, they submitted an indictment against Baćović, Igor Vujošević, Alen Kurina, Miloš Lalević, Damir Frljučkić and Vjekoslav Lambulić to the Special Department of the Higher Court in Podgorica.

"Due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, against the defendants RB, IV, AK, ML and DF and due to reasonable suspicion that, as co-perpetrators, they committed three criminal offenses of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, and against the defendant VL, due to reasonable suspicion that he also committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, as co-perpetrators," the statement reads.

They state that the subject of the indictment is the activities of a criminal organization organized by the defendant Baćović in 2015:

"Whose members have become other defendants and unknown persons, with the aim of engaging in the commission of the criminal offenses of murder, aggravated murder, kidnapping, unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other offenses punishable by a prison sentence of four years or a more severe penalty, for the purpose of acquiring illegal profit and power, in Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Turkey, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and other European countries, as well as the fact that the defendants, as members of a criminal organization, on three occasions, in the period from September 23 to December 22, 2020, for the purpose of sale, purchased the narcotic drug marijuana in Albania, brought it into Montenegro for the purpose of sale and transported it through Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to transport it, via Croatia, for the purpose of sale and sell it in Hungary."

The SDT suspects that Baćović organized a criminal group a decade ago that was involved in drug trafficking internationally, and in cooperation with countries in the region, new investigations are expected into the organization of kidnappings, as well as murders.

Although Baćović has been known as one of the leaders of the Montenegrin underworld since the 1990s, he has not been prosecuted for any serious crimes in Montenegro or in the countries of the region for more than two decades.

The SDT investigation charges him with being the head of a criminal organization that committed 15 criminal offenses - unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics.

According to Serbian media, after Jovan Vukotić was murdered in Istanbul in 2022, Baćović allegedly took over the leadership of the Škaljari criminal clan from Belgrade with Luka Bojović.

On the orders of the SDT, officers of the Special Police Department arrested Danilov residents Lalević and Vujošević, who are suspected of being part of Baćović's criminal group, which was involved in drug smuggling.

The SPO's criminal complaint also includes Alen Kurina from Subotica, whom the media calls the head of the "Vojvodina clan", Damir Frljučkić from Podgorica, and Vjekoslav Vjeko Lambulić, who has been in custody in Skopje since October 2023, on suspicion of organizing cocaine smuggling with Radovan Perović from Budva and Mile Ojdanić from Tivćan.

Lambulić is also included in the SDT indictment in the “General” case.
