It is stated that the facilities searched were suspected of being used by persons wanted at the national and international level, persons of operational interest and those associated with them, members of organized criminal groups, as well as persons suspected of illegally possessing weapons.
Searches were carried out in Grahovo, Danilovgrad, Podgorica, Budva, Ulcinj, Plav and Cetinje.
Danilovgrad police, as added, searched the apartment of NP (56), a member of an organized crime group, from whom a trombone attachment for a rifle and a spearfishing rifle were found and confiscated.
It is alleged that a small amount of ammunition, an ammunition belt and two bayonets were seized from MV (32), a member of an organized crime group.
"The state prosecutor in Podgorica was informed of the incident and ordered an expert examination of the case," the statement added.
The police said that business premises where members of the organized crime group - VS (37) and SS (26) resided - were searched, as well as premises and vehicles at four locations belonging to operationally interested persons VP (41) and RP (36).
Nikšić police officers, as added, searched family homes and buildings located in the town of Grahovo near the operationally interesting AL (45), from whom an air rifle with three boxes of ammunition and a bayonet were seized.
It is alleged that the AL for weapons and ammunition did not possess the appropriate documentation.
The police said that ammunition of various types and calibers was found and seized from Lj.M. (67).
"The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Nikšić has been informed of the event, and he will comment on the legal qualification after the expert examinations are completed," the police said.
They said that Podgorica police officers searched the homes of RJ (62) from Podgorica, at two locations, and seized two rifles, one of which was in illegal possession, and 78 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers.
It is stated that the State Prosecutor at the ODT in Podgorica has ordered the implementation of appropriate expert assessments, after which he will declare the qualification of the offense.
"The police in Podgorica conducted a search of the house used by BB (47) and found and seized a Crvena Zastava pistol in his illegal possession," the statement said.
As it is added, by order of the state prosecutor, BB was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
"A hunting rifle and 40 rounds of ammunition were seized during a search of the house used by JR," the police said in a statement.
They stated that police officers in Plav searched the family home and other outbuildings used by EH (25).
"Three rifles, a pistol, 55 rounds of ammunition and two hunting ammunition magazines were found and seized from him - all in illegal possession," the statement said.
It is stated that, by order of the State Prosecutor at the ODT in Plav, EH was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
"Officers from the Ulcinj and Bar security departments, with the assistance of the Special Police Unit, searched the premises used by AU (48), a person close to the operationally interesting SU (40), and on that occasion found a small amount of cocaine," the police said.
They stated that a misdemeanor charge will be filed against AU for committing a misdemeanor under the Drug Abuse Prevention Act.
"Police in Budva searched the apartment and passenger motor vehicle used by MZ (46) and found and confiscated a starter pistol for which he did not have the appropriate documentation," the statement said.
