The police and prosecutor's office have identified another suspect for complicity in the murder of two Cetinje residents - Stefan Belada and Andrija Ivanović, the Police Directorate announced.
The security institution did not disclose the identity of the suspect in the murder of alleged members of the Cetinje cell of the Škalja clan.
Belada and Ivanović were executed on September 24th in the village of Ugnja, Cetinje.
"Officers of the Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, in synchronized activities in the continuation of the investigation into the case of aggravated murder committed on September 24, 2025 in the territory of the Cetinje municipality, on the Budva - Cetinje road in the town of Ugnji, when SB and AI were deprived of their lives, have identified another person - an accomplice who is being intensively searched for. The information collected so far indicates that this criminal offense was committed in an organized manner," the UP announced.
They recalled that as part of that investigation, the police had previously identified one person who was charged with the criminal offense of aggravated murder by aiding and abetting, and he was remanded in custody as part of the investigation.
"Due to the interests of the investigation and further activities to identify other related persons, we cannot provide more details at this time. Police officers, in cooperation with the competent state prosecutor's office, are continuing intensive activities to identify related persons and other members who participated in the commission of this serious criminal offense, and are undertaking activities to shed light on other criminal offenses committed against life and limb, the outcome of which we will inform the public about in phases," the UP said.
