After being questioned by the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, the arrested owner of the company "Master Engineering" Vladan Ivanović was ordered to be detained for up to 30 days and taken to the Pretrial Detention Center.
Ivanovic was remanded in custody due to the risk of influencing witnesses, Ivana Vukmirovic, an independent public relations advisor at the Higher Court, told "Vijesti".
His lawyer, Zoran Piperović, told Television Vijesti that he will appeal the decision.
Ivanovic was arrested on Friday, after which he was ordered to be detained for up to 72 hours due to the risk of flight and influencing witnesses, which Piperovic appealed.
Ivanovic is charged with money laundering, and "Vijesti" announced yesterday that he was arrested on suspicion that his company had for years concealed the fact that five apartments in the "Master Kvart" in Podgorica were purchased by the fugitive head of the Kavač clan, Radoje Zvicer.
According to these allegations, Ivanovic is suspected of concealing ownership by leaving Zvicer's apartments registered to his company.
