Four pistols, 70 rounds of ammunition and a hand grenade were seized in searches of residential buildings and vehicles carried out by police in Bar, Berane, Mojkovac and Andrijevica.
"Officers of the Bar Security Department, acting on a court order, searched the apartment and other premises used by MK(74) in Sutomore, during which two Red Flag pistols, 44 rounds of ammunition and one M-75 hand grenade were found and seized," the police statement said.
By order of the State Prosecutor, criminal charges will be filed against MK at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
"In accordance with a court order, police officers in Berane searched the apartment used by DC (46) from Berane and found and seized a CZ 99 pistol and 26 rounds of ammunition. The named person's vehicle was also seized for further checks. The acting prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane ordered that the found weapons and ammunition be sent for expert examination, and that criminal charges be filed against DC on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. By checking and inspecting the vehicle driven by MS (30) from Andrijevica, police officers found and seized a Zoraki starter pistol that the named person used from a moving vehicle, while moving in a convoy of vehicles with wedding guests," the police said.
A request was filed against MS to initiate misdemeanor proceedings for committing a misdemeanor under the Public Order and Peace Act.
The police also said that during a search of the apartment and other premises used by ZS from Mojkovac, 27 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers were found and temporarily seized. The state prosecutor has been informed of the incident and will declare the qualification of the crime after conducting appropriate expert examinations.
