The Judicial Council has determined the termination of the office of Vesna Aćimić, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Judicial Council, at her personal request.
On September 24, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica filed an indictment with the Basic Court in Podgorica against Aćimić for the criminal offense of abuse of official position and the criminal offense of preventing evidence for an extended period of time.
The Council appointed Emina Mušović, Head of the Department for Personnel Issues and General Affairs of the Secretariat, as Acting Secretary of the Secretariat, until the election of the Secretary, and for a maximum period of six months.
The Council approved the appointment of Krsto Pejović, a judge of the Administrative Court of Montenegro, to the Register of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, starting from 1 February 2026, for a period of one year.
The Council made a decision to publish a public announcement for the selection of 10 candidates for judges of basic courts in the northern region, as well as announcements for the voluntary permanent transfer of one judge each to the Basic Court in Podgorica and the Basic Court in Bijelo Polje.
