Since the beginning of the year, citizens of Montenegro have voluntarily returned 3.942 weapons and over 130 pieces of ammunition to the police, the Police Directorate announced.

It is added that eight weapons were voluntarily surrendered to officers of the Regional Security Center "South".

"Of which four pistols and four rifles, then one hand grenade and 477 pieces of ammunition," the statement said.

The police said that in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Regional Security Center "North", three firearms were voluntarily surrendered, including two pistols and one rifle, 55 rounds of ammunition, as well as weapon parts.
