Investigative judge on duty Ivan Adamović ordered the extradition detention of Ukrainian citizen Artem Kalaksyz (43), who was arrested on a warrant issued for him by the NCB Interpol Chisinau-Moldova, the Police Directorate (PD) announced.
The Žabljak police arrested Kalaksyz in a coordinated action together with officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica.
As stated in the UP statement, the Higher Investigative Court in Chisinau suspects him of committing the crimes of organizing illegal migration and money laundering in a very sophisticated manner.
"He is suspected of committing these acts through the Telegram and TikTok platforms, while payment for services was made through the Binance platform. The aforementioned criminal offenses are punishable by up to 18 years in prison under Moldovan law," the UP statement said.
