Podgorica police arrested fellow citizens IK (26) and AE (22), suspected of theft, while criminal charges were filed against a minor for the same crime, the Police Directorate announced.
The police said that officers from the Criminal Police Station for Suppression of Property Crime - Podgorica Security Department have solved four criminal offenses in that area.
"Two people were arrested on the prosecutor's order. Criminal charges were filed against three people, one of whom is a minor," the statement said.
It is alleged that IK was arrested on the prosecutor's order on suspicion of committing two criminal offenses of aggravated theft to the detriment of a company.
"He is suspected of having forcibly entered two catering establishments on September 29th, at around 2 and again at around 4 am, using physical force, from which he stole a certain amount of money," the police said.
They said that AE was also arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of theft against a person.
According to the police, AE stole a suitcase with gas stove equipment from that person, from a parked vehicle.
Police added that the stolen items were found and returned to the owner.
"At the order of the acting prosecutor, police officers filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica against a 15-year-old minor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of aggravated theft against a person," the statement said.
It is suspected that the minor, together with another person, came to a car junkyard owned by a private individual at around 2 a.m. on October 18th, from whose yard he stole a set of auto mechanic tools and car parts, which they later sold for 200 euros.
