Officers from the Podgorica Security Department arrested BS (26) and IM (29) last night for drug abuse, the Police Directorate announced.
The police said that their officers stopped and checked a vehicle with Podgorica license plates, which was driven by BS, while IM was in the passenger seat.
"Testing determined that BS was driving under the influence of drugs and he was arrested for committing a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act," the statement said.
The police stated that during an inspection of the vehicle, a package containing a powdery substance resembling heroin was found under the passenger seat.
"After collecting information, on the order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, IM was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs, to the detriment of BS to whom he made the drugs available," the statement said.
