Podgorica police are searching for three attackers who, late last night, seriously injured and stabbed Podgorica resident MJ (25) in the Zabjelo neighborhood of Podgorica.
The Police Directorate unofficially told Vijesti that they are searching for the perpetrators, that they have notified the prosecutor's office about the incident, and that the qualification of the criminal offense is pending.
The injured Podgorica resident claims that he was attacked by Turkish citizens, and he told the journalist what he told the police after he was given assistance in the Emergency Unit of the Clinical Center - that last night he and his friends were on the terrace of a bar in Zabjelo, and that they remained there even when the bar was closed, and that that was when they were attacked.
"Three or four Turkish citizens were walking along the sidewalk and shouting something at us in Turkish. I asked them if they had any problems, and one of them answered: 'Yes'. The person is about 30 years old, dark complexion, black hair and beard, about 180 centimeters tall, with a large build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans. When I approached him, we grabbed each other's shirts, started pushing each other, wrestling, and we fell to the sidewalk. While we were wrestling, I saw two more of them above me - one of them is about fifty years old, has gray hair, a thicker beard. He was wearing a red T-shirt. I can't remember the description of the other man. Then they kicked and punched me several times in the area of my body, and then stabbed me several times with a knife," he told Vijesti.
He added that he managed to hit one of them, broke away and started running away, while they chased him with larger knives in their hands.
"They ran after me down the street until a car stopped and offered to take me to the emergency room. During the examination, they found seven stab wounds, and my head was open," MJ told Vijesti.
