Six members of the "Vojvoda" fan group were arrested on suspicion of causing disorder during a football match in Nikšić yesterday, endangering the safety of participants in the sporting event and persons present at the match, and committing other forms of violence and inappropriate behavior that could endanger the safety of those present at the football match, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

The statement states that MM (29) from Nikšić was also arrested in connection with this incident and is charged with the criminal offense of violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering.

"Officers of the Nikšić Security Department, undertaking intensive activities to identify, locate and prosecute the responsible persons – fans of the 'Vojvode' fan group from Nikšić, who yesterday caused a conflict with fans of another club during a football match in Nikšić, brought several persons to the official premises from whom information was collected for the record regarding the event in question. So far, seven persons have been deprived of their liberty. Namely, the first six persons to be deprived of their liberty were BP, IV, BV, NM, N. Đ. and MK from Nikšić, fans of the 'Vojvode' fan group. They are charged with causing disorder during the said match, endangering the safety of participants in the sporting event and persons present at the match, and committing other forms of violence and inappropriate behavior that could endanger the safety of those present at the football match," the UP statement states.

The institution added that in relation to the above, a misdemeanor charge has been filed against the arrested persons under Article 30, paragraph 1, subparagraphs 2 and 8 of the Law on the Prevention of Violence and Inappropriate Behavior at Sports Events, and that they will be brought before a judge of the Misdemeanor Court in Podgorica - Nikšić Department within the legal deadline.

"In continuation of the activities related to this event, police officers from the Nikšić Security Department searched the apartment and other premises used by MM (29) from Nikšić and on that occasion seized his starting pistol and mobile phone. The aforementioned person was deprived of his liberty and a criminal report was filed against him with the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of violent behavior at sports events or a public gathering under Article 399a, paragraph 4 in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro," the statement reads.

The Police Department said that the Nikšić police are taking further measures and actions to identify the other participants in the incident, as well as other activities to shed light on the aforementioned event, including determining the responsibility of the responsible persons of the Football Club (FK) "Sutjeska" in relation to hiding fans in the premises of this club, as well as in relation to enabling these persons to bring illegal objects into the stadium.

"We would like to remind you that yesterday, 25.10.2025, during halftime of the football match, which started at 14.00 on the auxiliary field of FK 'Čelik' in Nikšić, between FK 'Internacional' and FK 'Berane', about 40 fans of the 'vojvode' fan group, who were hidden in the official premises of FK 'Sutjeska' at the main stadium, invaded the field, and after invading the auxiliary field, they caused a conflict with FK 'Berane' fans, in which two citizens and two police officers were injured," the UP statement reads.
