It is added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Police Directorate, together with the Tax Administration and other competent authorities, will take specific measures and actions in order to determine all irregularities related to the stay of foreign citizens on the territory of Montenegro, as well as in relation to legal, natural and responsible persons who operate and reside on its territory, with the aim of taking appropriate restrictive measures, including checks on the conditions of residence and business.

"Also, officers of the Police Directorate will uncompromisingly continue with increased controls of foreign citizens, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners, and will, in cooperation with other competent authorities, take repressive measures and actions against persons who violate the regulations and laws of Montenegro. In cases where irregularities are identified, procedures for the cancellation of residence and deportation of foreign citizens from the country will be immediately initiated, in order to preserve the security of all citizens and protect the legal order of the state and establish the rule of law," it was announced.
