The presentation of the defendants' defense at the trial of former Budva Municipality President Milo Božović, Petar Lazović, Ljubo Milović and other defendants for creating a criminal organization and cocaine smuggling continued today at the Higher Court in Podgorica before a special panel presided over by Judge Simo Rašović.

Defendant Goran Stojanović, whose detention was lifted and a ban on leaving his apartment was imposed on him, as well as Ivan Nikolić and Tihomir Adžić, denied the allegations in the indictment and challenged the Sky application as evidence.

Defendant Stojanović said that he is not a member of any criminal group. He believes that the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) does not have any valid evidence in this case.

"My right to equality of arms in the legal sense has been violated, and that the accused do not have equal conditions for the fight for justice compared to the SDT," the accused believes. He added that there are a number of shortcomings in the indictment, one of which is that the indictment is not specified, with the time of commission of the crime. "The indictment consists only of Skaja. I have never acted on anyone's orders and no one has given me orders for anything," Stojanović said in his defense.

At the request of his defense attorney, attorney Miloš Vuksanović, the court lifted the detention of former police officer Goran Stojanović. The attorney stated that the defendant had spent a year and eleven months in detention. After a short break, the panel, presided over by judge Simo Rašović, accepted the defense's request and Stojanović was placed under house arrest.

Defendant Nikolić said that the police and SDT did not take a statement from him at the time when it was supposed to. He emphasized that he was not on the run and that it was in his interest for the proceedings to be concluded as soon as possible and his innocence to be proven. He stated that he was not a member of a criminal group and that he did not use Sky.

The indictment of the Special Prosecutor's Office includes Ljubo Milović, Milo Božović, Dejan Knežević, Radoje Zvicer, Ivan Stamatović, Nebojša Bugarin, Petar Lazović, Milan Popović, Miloš Mišurović, Marko Novaković, Ivan Nikolić, Goran Stojanović, Božidar Jabučanin, Aleksandar Keković, Vladimir Bajčeta, Tihomir Adžić, Filip Zindović, Darko Knežević, Ivan Mijatović and Dražen Milović.

"Sky filled to make sense"

Defendant Goran Stojanović said that it is not known from the indictment when he allegedly became a member of the criminal organization.

"I've never used the Sky app. The Sky material was filled in to make sense. For me, that material is an interpretation of an interpretation."

The accused Nikolić believes that he was indicted due to a malicious mistake by the SDT and SPO.

"I did not use an encrypted phone," said the accused Nikolić in his defense.
