Yesterday, the Ulcinj police found a rifle and ammunition in illegal possession in an unregistered vehicle driven by VT (41) from Ulcinj, so criminal and misdemeanor charges were filed against VT, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement states that Ulcinj police officers yesterday, in the Kodre settlement, controlled a "Golf" vehicle without license plates, driven by VT.
"A search of the interior of the vehicle revealed an illegally possessed rifle and 23 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers. Person VT was brought to the official premises of the Ulcinj Security Department, where information was collected from him for the record, and the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj was informed of the incident, who stated that the actions of this person constitute elements of the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the statement states.
The UP said that, at the prosecutor's order, a criminal complaint was filed against VT in regular proceedings in relation to the found rifle, as well as a misdemeanor report for violations of the Weapons Act in relation to the found ammunition.
