A Montenegrin citizen of the Republic of Croatia (29) was arrested yesterday at Podgorica Airport, after police found four 7,65 mm caliber bullets in his hand luggage, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement states that border police officers checked a Croatian national (29) at the exit from Montenegro yesterday at around 19 p.m.
"During the inspection of this passenger's hand luggage, the border police found four pieces of 7,65 mm ammunition. The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident, who qualified the crime as illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. By order of the acting prosecutor of the Republic of Croatia, he was deprived of liberty yesterday, and today, with a criminal report, he was brought before the prosecutor for further jurisdiction," the statement reads.
