Traffic police officers arrested 43 drivers on Thursday, the Police Directorate announced.
It is stated that the police carried out increased preventive and repressive activities throughout the country through intensive traffic controls.
"And arrested 41 drivers for misdemeanors and two for felonies," the statement said.
The police stated that there were no fatalities in the traffic accidents that occurred, three people were seriously injured, and eight were slightly injured.
It added that 91 misdemeanor reports were filed, 729 misdemeanor warrants were issued, and six pairs of license plates were confiscated.
"The Police Department appeals to road users to comply with traffic regulations and adjust their driving on the road, thereby contributing to both their own safety and the safety of other road users," the statement said.
