The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Podgorica ordered the detention of D.Ž. for the criminal offense of domestic violence or violence in the family community.
"There is a reasonable suspicion that the previous day, at around 3:00 AM, in the family apartment, while intoxicated and under the influence of psychoactive substances, he threatened his wife to kill her, physically attacked her and insulted her in the presence of minor children," the Podgorica Public Prosecutor's Office announced.
It is added that after that, the suspect is suspected of demanding that his wife take him to a gas station, where he took a firearm from the vehicle that he had hidden.
"Upon returning, during the drive and upon arriving in front of the building, the suspect handled a weapon and fired a shot," it was announced.
