Kotor police arrested JM (28) from Podgorica yesterday after it was determined that he was driving under the influence of cocaine and after the police found 111 grams of marijuana in the car he was driving, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement states that Kotor police officers, yesterday in Škaljari, controlled a Toyota passenger vehicle with Kotor license plates, driven by JM.
"The test determined that the driver tested positive for the presence of cocaine in his body, and a search of the vehicle found two PVC packages containing marijuana, weighing approximately 111 grams, and a scale for precise measurement. The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident, and on whose order JM was deprived of liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs," the statement said.
The UP added that a request will be filed against JM with the competent misdemeanor court to initiate misdemeanor proceedings due to a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act.
