Spanish police arrested Montenegrin citizen Vladimir Vujotić (41) today, on a warrant issued by Interpol Podgorica.
"This fugitive was located and arrested in Spain after a direct exchange of information between the Montenegrin and Spanish police, based on data previously obtained by the Montenegrin Police Directorate, which was then shared, in real time and efficiently, with colleagues from the Police of the Kingdom of Spain," the Police Directorate announced.
They explained that Montenegro is searching for the arrested person in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of creating a criminal organization and abuse of official position, in connection with a case under the jurisdiction of the Special State Prosecutor's Office.
They said that communication between Montenegrin and Spanish Interpol is ongoing, with a view to extraditing the arrested person to our country.
