Police arrested AS (21) and AV (38) on suspicion of committing a criminal offense - exploiting children for pornography, while a criminal complaint was filed against NR (32) with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Herceg Novi.

AS was processed by the ODT in Bijelo Polje, and AV by their colleagues in Bar.

The Police Directorate announced that, as part of the activities envisaged by the EUROPOL EMPACT Action Plan, which include the detection of child pornography crimes, identification, prosecution and arrest of their perpetrators, a coordinated operational action "Mosaic 2025" was carried out from June 2 to 13 at the international level (Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Albania, Hungary and Montenegro), in which Montenegrin police officers also actively participated.

"Officers of the High-Tech Crime Suppression Group identified, located and searched apartments and other premises used by five individuals, seized 41 electronic devices and processed three individuals, two of whom were deprived of their liberty, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of exploiting children for pornography," the statement reads.

As part of the operation, searches were conducted at the residence of two more persons, with the aim of finding material evidence related to the commission of the aforementioned criminal offense.

The police announced that during this year, a preventive operational operation called "Temida" was also carried out, aimed at identifying minors from the territory of Montenegro who, on their own initiative, photograph or record pornographic content, either for entertainment or for further distribution.

"This type of action also aims to protect minors and prevent the exchange and distribution of such material, as well as to familiarize them with the risks of using social networks and the possible consequences of inadequate digital behavior," the statement reads.
