Željko Lutovac (born 1992) from Berane, a truck driver, was killed on Wednesday around 22 p.m. in a traffic accident on the Bijelo Polje-Berane main road, "Vijesti" confirmed.
The accident occurred in the town of Zaton.
For reasons that are currently unknown, Lutovac crashed his vehicle into a concrete pillar.
The Emergency Service told "Vijesti" that one person was killed.
Traffic is still disrupted around midnight.
The on-site investigation is being conducted by State Prosecutor Almin Hodžić, along with authorized officers from the Security Department (SB) Bijelo Polje.
The accident, as Danijela Đuković, spokesperson for the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Bijelo Polje, told "Vijesti", occurred at the moment "when the driver of the freight vehicle Ž.L., moving from the direction of Ribarevina towards Berane, upon arriving in the town of Zaton, for reasons that are currently unknown, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway to the left, fell into a canal, and then hit a pipeline".
