A Russian citizen (63) was arrested yesterday in Petrovac in action of officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Budva Security Department.
The Police Directorate announced that she was wanted on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued for her by the NCB Interpol Moscow just the day before.
"Namely, the day after the international arrest warrant for this person was issued in Moscow, TM was deprived of her liberty in Petrovac. This successful action was preceded by an intensive exchange of operational information between officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Interpol NCB Moscow, which resulted in the finding and deprivation of liberty of this person," the police said.
They add that an international arrest warrant has been issued for TM for a criminal offense she committed on the territory of Russia - particularly large-scale embezzlement committed through abuse of official position.
"The competent investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica has ordered her to be placed under supervision in order to ensure her presence at the extradition proceedings," the police announced.
