The panel of Judge Vesna Kovačević accepted the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to present new communications from the Sky application as evidence, in the continuation of the evidentiary proceedings against the group gathered around Miloš Medenica.
The court also agreed to re-hear financial and economic expert Milenko Popović on the circumstances of the damage caused to the state by cigarette smuggling from the Free Customs Zone in the Port of Bar, that is, whether the budget was damaged by 2,7 million euros.
Therefore, it was announced that trials will be held every working day from December 1 to 15, during which new evidence from the SDT and the defense of the accused will be presented.
Special Prosecutor Jovan Vukotić said that through a re-analysis of Sky Communications, he identified the accused Darko Lalović as the user.
He claims that the PIN used by Lalović was in communication with the PIN that, according to the SDT, was used by Miloš Medenica.
Vukotić read the Viber message between Vesna Medenica and Vladan Vučelić, which he also said should be used as evidence.
"Vesna, the revision has reached the Supreme Court. The judge is Natalija, based on Franović's lawsuit. If it can be returned to a new trial."
To that message, Medenica replied: "Okay, it won't happen until the fall," claims prosecutor Vukotic.
The defense objected to these proposals, and attorney Zdravko Begović stated that he could not believe "that this is happening in the courtroom."
"Especially since you cold-bloodedly rejected all the defense's proposals at the previous hearing," Begović warned and continued: "Is it possible that the SDT has proposed this now, after three years?"
He added that the panel should not have allowed the prosecutor to read the message, as it was not part of the indictment. He assessed that the SDT's clear intention was to further compromise his client Vesna Medenica.
The judge told the SDT that they were proposing evidence they had three years ago.
"You are asking for a postponement and prolongation," said Kovačević, addressing the prosecutors.
On November 19, 2025, the SDT submitted a letter to the court with a proposal to conduct new Sky correspondences regarding the determination of the identification of the accused Darko Lalović.
Lawyer Stefan Jovanović, commenting on the SDT's proposal, asked the court to provide him with these communications if they relate to his client Miloš Medenica, so that he could respond to the proposal of the special prosecutor's office, if the court decides to introduce this evidence.
Attorney Bojan Korać, defense attorney for the accused Darko Lalović, pointed out to the court that the new evidence proposed by the prosecution should be submitted to attorney Stefan Jovanović, bearing in mind that the case mentions that the same PIN was used by Darko Lalović and Miloš Medenica.
He warned that the prosecution had three years to submit this material to the court and that he believed that the proposal should be rejected as unfounded, a position that Judge Vesna Kovačević agreed with.
Special Prosecutor Jovan Vukotić explained why the SDT had not submitted the proposed evidence earlier, saying that Sky Communications, or rather their raw material, began analyzing it precisely after the allegations made by attorney Bojan Korać at one of the last hearings, when it was pointed out that the PIN used by Darko Lalović could have been used by multiple people and that it could not be concluded with certainty that it was his client.
Therefore, he claims, the SDT inspected and analyzed the minutes of the main hearings, after which he considered it necessary to respond to these allegations, so additional analysis was only conducted when the minutes were submitted to him.
On that occasion, it was determined that the PIN was used by Lalović and another person. He added that in practice it happened that two or more users used one PIN, but never in the same period of time, but such situations occurred in different periods.
