The Misdemeanor Court sentenced MT to a total of 60 days in prison for obstructing police officers and driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, the spokesperson for the Misdemeanor Court in Podgorica, Judge Ana Bokan, told "Vijesti".
"The Podgorica Misdemeanor Court sentenced the defendant MT to a single prison sentence of 45 days and a fine of 800 euros. On November 27, the defendant, as a participant in public transport, ran a red light twice in a row, while participating in traffic under the influence of the psychoactive substance cocaine, alcohol in the body at a concentration of 1,95 g/kg, without having passed a driving test and with an expired driving license for the vehicle he was driving," said Bokan.
He adds that in a separate proceeding, MT was also sentenced to 15 days in prison for obstructing police officers:
"Who, based on the law, exercised public authority in connection with the performance of tasks within their jurisdiction - the control of vehicles and drivers, in such a way that the defendant, after being informed by police officers that due to the commission of the aforementioned offenses he must be deprived of his liberty and go with them to the premises of the Podgorica Police Department, put his vehicle into drive, drove away from the scene, after which he was stopped by police officers using sound and light signals," said Bokan.
