We'll finish it tomorrow, I just need to sit down with Žižić and dad, he promised. Petar Lazovic to the head of the Kavach clan Happy Switzerland that he would sort out the situation after he accused the police of framing a member of his criminal organization.
Former Head of the Department for Suppression of Serious Crimes Milorad Žižić He was arrested yesterday in Podgorica in an operation led by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), and members of the Special Police Department (SPO) also handcuffed the former Assistant Director of the Police Administration. Dejan Knežević.
SPO officers earlier yesterday searched Žižić's apartment in Podgorica's City Quarter and the "Golf 8" he uses.
Knežević's property was also searched.
The SDT officially announced yesterday that two former police officials are being charged with creating a criminal organization and other criminal offenses.
"On the order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Special Police Department deprived DK, former acting assistant director of the Police Directorate, and M. Ž., former head of the then Department for Suppression of Serious Crimes in the Sector for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Police Directorate, of their liberty, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and other criminal offenses. A search of the apartments and other premises used by the persons deprived of their liberty is underway, and after all evidence of criminal offenses and items of importance to the proceedings have been collected, they will be taken to the Special State Prosecutor's Office, within the legal deadline, with a criminal report, for questioning as suspects," the prosecutor's office, headed by the Chief Special Prosecutor, announced yesterday. Vladimir Novović.
Suspension, arrest
Žižić was suspended in August by a decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs, at the proposal of the Director of the Police Administration. At the time, it was explained that the suspension decision was served on him due to security concerns.
In June 2019, Žižić was appointed head of the most important Department in the Sector for the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption (SBPOKK), which was then headed by the now-defendant. Zoran Lazovic.
That Department was disbanded in April 2023, by decision of the then coordinator and head of the Special Police Department (SPO), Predrag Šukovića.
In several Sky correspondences in the possession of "Vijesti", the arrested secret agent Petar Lazović once suggested to Žižić not to take any police action against a member of the Kavač clan. Duško Roganović, which is why the former assistant police director is now on trial Zoran Lazović and the suspended special prosecutor To Saša Čađenović...
He often forwarded their communication to the head of the Kavac criminal group, Radoje Zvicer, including questions from the “Vijesti” editorial staff. The two would then agree on what to answer, and Žižić would later forward the final version to him, which Lazović also circulated to Zvicer.
In addition, Lazović with Žižić, but also the former head of the Special Police Department Dragan Radonjić, agrees on how to conduct investigations based on information previously provided to him by Zvicer and other members of the Kavač clan.
"Vijesti" has not been confirmed whether this is part of the charges for which he was arrested yesterday.
Knežević was arrested in March 2023, and charged in the Podgorica High Court with abuse of office, as part of a police drug cartel.
The indictment filed against the alleged police drug cartel charges Knežević with having the task, as a police officer and then an official of the Montenegrin Police Administration, of disclosing confidential information regarding activities and cases related to drug trafficking to the criminal organization.
They accuse him of acting on the orders of the head of a criminal organization, a fugitive Ljub Milović undertook police activities in accordance with the interests of that clan and informed it about the planned activities of the Police Directorate and the security services of other countries...
In the courtroom, he denied all accusations, including those that he monitored the activities of his colleagues that were being taken or should be taken against the defendant Zvicer, and informed Milović about it, all with the aim of preventing the Kotor native from being arrested...
Presenting his defense at the beginning of the year, in the courtroom of the Higher Court in Podgorica, Knežević said that the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović "painted a target" and said that if anything happened to him or his family, they would "be held responsible."
He spoke about his work and involvement in the police and emphasized that he had never committed anything illegal, that he had used the information from Sky himself and prevented, among others, members of an organized crime group (OKG) from committing several serious crimes at the time, including murder. Milić Šaković i Marko Martinović, as well as the attack on the judge Biljan Uskoković.
"If I worked, as they accuse me of, for a criminal clan, why did I thwart their plans and, so to speak, work against them? That is just part of the actions directed against the criminal organization I am accused of belonging to," Knežević said.
Did he tell Milović that he was under surveillance?
The indictment filed against the police drug cartel charges Knežević with having, between July 12, 2017 and May 12, 2018, in Podgorica, knowing of the act he intended to commit, having unauthorizedly disclosed to an uninvited person secret information he had obtained as an employee of the Police Directorate.
"...And whose disclosure has caused or could cause harmful consequences for the security of Montenegro."
In other words, special prosecutors, in the case in which Knežević is already responding, are charging that former police official with having told his friend Ljubo Milović, after learning that secret surveillance measures were being taken against him.
