Nikšić police arrested NM (31) and U.Đ. (32) from that city for driving under the influence of drugs.
The Police Directorate announced that the two individuals are listed in their records as persons of operational interest.
They said that the Nikšić police conducted coordinated activities to increase control of members of organized crime groups and persons of operational interest.
The arrested were brought before the duty judge of the Minor Offences Court in Podgorica - Nikšić Department.
"NM was fined 1.000 euros and banned from driving for four months, while U.DJ. was also fined 1.200 euros and banned from driving for four months," the statement reads.
An "Audi A7" car was seized from NM for further checks.
Nikšić police have also located and found three people they are looking for.
"Acting on operational information, police officers located and found GJ (43) from Nikšić, who was wanted by the Podgorica Security Department and for whom a national arrest warrant was in force on suspicion of committing the crime of theft, after which they brought him to the official premises," the police said.
"According to operational information, a person named MK (23) from Nikšić was checked, who was wanted by the Podgorica Security Department and for whom a national arrest warrant was also issued on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs. The person was taken to official premises," they added.
GJ and MK were handed over to the Podgorica Security Department for further jurisdiction.
Also, pursuant to an order of the Basic Court in Nikšić, according to which FM (32) from Nikšić was to be taken to serve a prison sentence of one year and six months, officers of the Nikšić Security Department located that person and took him to the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions in Spuž to serve the aforementioned prison sentence.
"In the coming period, police officers will continue to implement intensified activities aimed at controlling OKG members and persons of operational interest, as well as persons who are wanted, as well as measures and actions aimed at detecting, preventing and combating all forms of crime," the statement reads.
