During a search of B.Š.'s house, the Šavnica police found and seized two rifles, as well as 16 rounds of ammunition of unknown caliber, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
As stated in the statement, police officers of the Regional Security Center "West" are conducting continuous planned activities aimed at detecting, suppressing and preventing criminal acts and misdemeanors with elements of violence, protecting the lives and safety of citizens, with an emphasis on finding firearms in illegal possession.
"According to the above, police officers from the Šavnik Police Station, today, acting on the order of the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje, conducted a search of the house and auxiliary facilities used by B.Š. During the search of the aforementioned facilities, firearms in illegal possession were found - two rifles, as well as 16 pieces of ammunition of unknown caliber," the UP statement states.
The police added that after collecting information from that person, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Pljevlja ordered that the seized weapon be sent for expert examination, after which they will decide on the legal qualification of the crime.
