MM (20) from Herceg Novi was sentenced yesterday to 15 days in prison for failing to stop at a stop sign, displayed by police officers from the Tivat Police Station.
"The same person did not stop at a stop sign for police officers from the Kotor Police Station the next day, on which occasion he was traveling at a speed of 112 km/h on a road where the speed limit is 50 km/h. He was sentenced today in an urgent procedure to a prison sentence of 15 days and an additional fine," said Marko Đukanović, President of the Budva Minor Offences Court.
The duty judge of the Kotor Department, Jelena Stanišić, in addition to the fines, imposed a driving ban on the defendant for a total of 8 months, as well as the maximum number of penalty points, which will be implemented by the Police Directorate upon the decision becoming final.
