Border police arrested TV (47) from Albania, suspected of forging a document.
Last night, as a car driver, he was checked at the Debeli Brijeg border crossing, at the entrance to Montenegro.
He handed over a driver's license allegedly issued in Italy to officers of the Herceg Novi Border Police Station I, the authenticity of which the police officers doubted, the Police Directorate announced.
"After a detailed criminal investigation, police officers, in cooperation with FRONTEX officers, determined that the driver's license was invalid, that is, that the TV had altered the validity date on this document," the statement reads.
The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Herceg Novi qualified the crime as forgery of a document and ordered VT to be arrested, and the driver's license in question was confiscated from him. He was brought before the prosecutor with a criminal complaint.
