Nikšić police are on target combating drug abuse, illegally possessed weapons and increasing traffic safety, prosecuted several people, seized drugs, ammunition, and temporarily seized a high-class vehicle for further checks.
As announced by the Police Directorate, a search of the apartment and other premises used by IV (45) from Nikšić resulted in the discovery of a small amount of marijuana. IV was arrested for a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
"In addition, a search of the premises used by this person found nine pieces of ammunition in illegal possession, and the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić has been informed of this. The ammunition will be subject to appropriate expert examination at the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad, after which the acting prosecutor will carry out the legal qualification of the act," it was announced.
It added that four drivers were also arrested for possession of narcotics, driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing to submit to a drug test.
"FE (21) was deprived of his liberty, in whose possession a small amount of a substance suspected of being the narcotic drug marijuana was found during a targeted control and inspection of the vehicle, then MS (26) who was driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in his body at a concentration of more than 1 g/kg, also for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol at a concentration of more than 1 g/kg, but also without having passed a driving test, the person of operational interest DT (27) was deprived of his liberty," the police stated.
The Police Directorate also provided a recording, which, according to "Vijesti", was made during a raid on the premises of fugitive police officer Ljubo Milović.
U.DJ. (32) was also arrested for refusing to submit to a test for the presence of psychoactive substances in his body and driving a vehicle without a driving license. The Police Directorate announced that U.DJ. is a person of operational interest.
"Through the aforementioned intensified activities carried out by members of the Regional Security Center "West", and in this case in cooperation with officers of the Border Police, the Special Police Unit, as well as the Crime Prevention Sector - Department for International Operational Police Cooperation INTERPOL EUROPOL SIRENE, operational - tactical and criminal - intelligence measures and actions were carried out on the territory of Nikšće, with the aim of finding and detaining persons wanted at the international and national level, as well as increased control of persons of operational interest and those connected to them."
Nikšić police, together with members of the Special Police Unit, temporarily seized a high-class vehicle from VB (43), which will be the subject of further checks. The police stated that VB is a person of operational interest.
