Podgorica police arrested Russian citizen MS (57), who is wanted by Moscow's Interpol for fraud.
She was checked at the Podgorica Airport border crossing, while attempting to leave Montenegro, by officers of the Regional Border Police Center "Centar".
"A check of the data on this person in cooperation with the Interpol NCB Podgorica determined that an international arrest warrant issued by the Interpol NCB Moscow was in force for her, for the criminal offense of fraud and attempted fraud in connection with the illegal seizure of the owner's rights over residential premises and credit fraud through the submission of false and inaccurate data to the bank in order to obtain unlawful material gain. She was handed over to the officers of the Podgorica Security Department for further jurisdiction, after which she was deprived of her liberty," the Police Directorate announced.
The MS will be presented today to the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, in order to determine extradition detention.
