Police seized over a kilogram of drugs, three rifles, a pistol, and 54 bullets of various types and calibers in the territories of Rožaje and Plav, and two people were prosecuted, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"Therefore, acting on operational information that a certain quantity of psychoactive substances was found in a facility owned by S. Ć. from Rožaje, police officers took specific actions within their jurisdiction that resulted in the deprivation of liberty of one person," the statement said.
The UP added that AN attempted to remove psychoactive substances from the facility, and that he was prevented from doing so and arrested.
"These are seven packages of a substance suspected of being the narcotic drug marijuana, weighing a total of 712 grams, as well as 11 packages containing a powdered substance suspected of being the narcotic drug cocaine, weighing a total of 343 grams. AN is suspected of the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs and, with a criminal report, he will be brought before the acting prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje for further jurisdiction. The police, in cooperation with the Higher State Prosecutor from Bijelo Polje, are taking further measures and actions in order to collect additional evidence and identify any potentially connected persons operating within this street drug sales network," the statement reads.
The UP said that, in addition to these activities, the police searched the apartment and other premises used by SC from Plav, where a 7,65 mm caliber Češka zbrojovka pistol, a hunting carbine, two hunting rifles and 54 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers were found and seized, all without adequate, or valid, documentation.
"The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Plav, who is aware of the incident, ordered that criminal charges be filed against SC in regular proceedings on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the UP said.
