Chinese citizens HH (42) and CL (52) were fined 200 euros each for illegally staying in Montenegro, and a decision was made to voluntarily leave Montenegro and ban them from entering for three years, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

The statement states that yesterday, while carrying out increased checks on foreigners and the validity of their stay on the territory of Montenegro, police officers processed two Chinese citizens for illegal residence in Montenegro.

"Acting on operational data, after a series of activities undertaken, officers of the Nikšić Security Department located an apartment in that city occupied by Chinese citizens HH (42) and CL (52). They were controlled, and detailed checks determined that they entered Montenegro as part of a tourist group, after which they remained on our territory illegally. They were handed over to the inspector for foreigners of the Nikšić Border Police Station I, and they were issued misdemeanor orders to pay a fine of 200 euros each. In addition, these persons were issued a decision on voluntary departure from Montenegro and a ban on entry into our country for a period of three years," the statement reads.
