A criminal complaint has been filed with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor against a company from Budva and its executive director, who are suspected of having caused damage to the state of almost 100.000 euros through tax and contribution evasion.

"The legal entity doo 'SE' Budva and an authorized person in that legal entity, OO (46), are suspected of committing this crime, which they are suspected of committing in such a way that OO, the executive director of the legal entity 'SE' doo Budva, as well as that legal entity, during 2024, on the basis of corporate income tax, contrary to the Law on Corporate Income Tax, evaded tax in the amount of 22.076 euros, as well as during 2022, 2023 and 2024, on the basis of personal income tax, evaded tax in the amount of 74.763 euros, thus damaging the budget of Montenegro in the total amount of 96.839 euros," the Police Directorate announced.

They said that officers of the Crime Prevention Sector, in continuous multi-sectoral and multi-institutional cooperation through a permanent project of national character under the code name "Evasion", continue to undertake intensive activities to detect and prosecute responsible persons in the field of economic activities whose criminal actions undermine the economic system of the state. "All activities are carried out with the aim of protecting citizens and preserving the budget of Montenegro, with a resolute commitment to strengthening the integrity and security of institutions," the statement reads.
