Prison officers conducted a general search of the Spuž Remand Prison early this morning, the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) announced.
"Information on confiscated illegal items, objects or substances will be available to the public through reports prepared by officers during these activities," said UIKS.
They emphasized that in the last two months, they have reported to the police that a drone was spotted above the UIKS complex in 20 cases, which is more than in the previous two years.
"On which occasion, the insertion of about 20 mobile phones, as well as a certain number of chargers for them, was prevented in this way," said UIKS.
They add that their officers have seized two drones since the beginning of the year "while dropping off items at the UIKS complex."
"With this morning's activity, officers continue to take actions and measures within their jurisdiction, which are aimed at preventing negative security phenomena and maintaining a stable security situation," UIKS announced.
