The police will take increased preventive measures in connection with today's football match between Dečić and Budućnost, which is being played in Tuzi, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
"On the occasion of the football match as part of the 13th round of the 1st CFL Meridianbet between FK 'Dečić' from Tuzi and FK 'Budućnost' from Podgorica, which will be played today starting at 2:00 p.m., at the FK 'Dečić' stadium in Tuzi (Tuško polje), the officers of the Police Directorate will take enhanced preventive measures and actions within their jurisdiction, in order to preserve public order and peace, the safety of participants and visitors. Since the aforementioned match has been declared a match of increased security risk by the Football Association of Montenegro, police officers will be present at key points of the sports facility, in its immediate surroundings, as well as on the directions of movement of fans, in order to ensure that the sports event is held in a safe, fair and sporting atmosphere," the statement states.
The Police Directorate added that, in accordance with Article 93 of the Law on Internal Affairs, officers of the Police Directorate will record a sporting event - a football match, between 13 pm and 17 pm, or until the end of the match and the complete dispersal of the gathered citizens.
"The aim of the above measures and activities is the timely detection of possible violations and criminal acts, as well as the efficient conduct of police officers in accordance with the law. We appeal to citizens who will attend the match, as well as any groups of fans, to behave in accordance with the law and the rules of sports conduct, to refrain from any form of violence, inappropriate behavior and disruption of public order, so that the sporting event proceeds without incidents," said the UP.
