High-ranking member of the Kavak clan, Milovan Zdravković (46), was extradited from Croatia to Serbia today.
Members of the Serbian Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Croatian Ministry of Interior, took over Zdravković at the Batrovci border crossing, who was extradited to Serbia on an Interpol international arrest warrant on suspicion of participating in aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit criminal acts, and the unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics.
Zdravković is suspected in Serbia of having, as a member of the OKG of Radoje Zvicer, Darko Šarić and Veljko Belivuk, participated in the planning and preparation of the commission of the criminal offense of aggravated murder on January 19, 2020 in Athens, when Stevan Stamatović and Igor Dedović were killed, as well as the criminal offense of aggravated murder on July 23, 2020 on the island of Corfu, when Alan Kožar and Damir Hadžić were killed.
"MZ is suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the criminal offense of aggravated murder in Athens on January 19, 2020, when three people were killed, and it is suspected that he planned this criminal offense with the leader of the 'Kavach clan' and other members of the organized crime group, as well as that he paid the direct perpetrators for this criminal offense," the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
Zdravković is also suspected of having organized shipments of large quantities of cocaine from South America to Europe and Serbia as a member of another organized crime group.
"The suspect was handed over, under strong security measures, to members of the Belgrade City Police Department's Investigation Department, after which he was sent to the custody of the Belgrade District Prison."
