Podgorica police arrested and filed criminal charges against AR from that city on suspicion that he took a vehicle owned by the company where he was employed and handed it over to another person as a guarantee that he would repay debts, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
As stated in the statement, he is charged with the criminal offense of evasion.
"It is suspected that, as an employee of a company based in Podgorica, he abused the trust of the executive director of this company who, in order to perform his work duties without hindrance, entrusted the suspect with the use of a Renault passenger vehicle and three keys to that vehicle, which is owned by the aforementioned company. AR, without the owner's knowledge, handed over this vehicle to another person as a guarantee that he would repay the financial debt he had to that other person, in the amount of 2.000 euros," the UP statement states.
The police added that AR will be brought before the acting prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office for further jurisdiction within the legally prescribed time limit, along with a criminal report.
