Officers of the Border Police Sector arrested an internationally wanted person, AK (35) from the Czech Republic, at the Tivat Airport border crossing today, based on an international warrant issued by the Interpol NCB Prague, the Police Directorate announced.
"Namely, checks in cooperation with officers of the NCB Interpol Podgorica have determined that AK, who approached the border control, is wanted pursuant to an international Interpol arrest warrant issued for him based on an arrest warrant issued by the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings for the criminal offense of unauthorized production and other disposal of narcotic and psychotropic substances and poisons of the Criminal Code of the Czech Republic," the statement states.
Following AK's arrest, further communication between the judicial authorities of Montenegro and the Czech Republic will follow within the framework of the extradition procedure, the police added.
