Officers of the Regional Security Center "North", in cooperation with officers of the Customs Administration, conducted a joint control of car scrap in Bijelo Polje, during which five high-class vehicles were seized, the Police Administration (UP) announced today.
"The inspection was carried out at a car lot owned by I.Lj. from Bijelo Polje. On that occasion, a total of 38 vehicles were inspected, while for five high-class vehicles - three of which originated in England and two from Italy - it was determined that customs and tax obligations had not been settled. As is suspected, the owner's intention was to scrap the said vehicles and sell them in parts," the statement states.
The UP added that the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje was informed about the incident, who will subsequently comment on the legal qualification of the act.
