The Nikšić police seized almost 11.000 firecrackers from the RL, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"Officers of the Regional Security Center 'West', Nikšić Security Department, taking measures and actions in accordance with the 'Petarda' operation, which is being implemented at the national level, with the aim of preventing the illicit trade and misuse of pyrotechnic devices, controlled one person and confiscated almost 11.000 different types of these pyrotechnic devices," the statement said.
The Police Department added that Nikšić police officers, acting on the order of the Basic Court in Nikšić, searched the apartment and other premises used by RL in that city, as well as his vehicle.
"On that occasion, 10.770 pieces of various types of firecrackers were found and seized. The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed of the event, who will subsequently declare the legal qualification of the act," the statement reads.
