Danilovgrad police inspected retail establishments intended for the sale of mixed goods at the market in that city, and confiscated 600 packs of cigarettes, tobacco, firecrackers, cigarette filters, and coffee, and processed three people, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement added that JM was controlled and found selling tobacco products without excise stamps, and that 411 packs of cigarettes, 11 paper packs of tobacco and four factory packs of tobacco were seized from her.
"Information was collected from her at the official premises of the Danilovgrad Security Department for the record, and the prosecutor who was informed of the event qualified the crime as illicit trafficking. Criminal charges were filed against JM in regular proceedings," the statement said.
The UP added that SG was also checked when five kilograms of tobacco and 102 packs of cigarettes were found and seized from her.
"Information was collected from her for the record, and the police searched the apartment and other premises used by this person. On that occasion, 19 firecrackers, 119 half-kilogram packages of cut tobacco, weighing a total of 59,5 kilograms, 60 packs of cigarettes, 81 packs of coffee and 107 boxes of cigarette filters were found. Criminal charges will be filed against SG in the regular procedure, at the prosecutor's order, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal trade," the statement reads.
The UP also said that S. Ć. was checked and 27 packs of cigarettes were found and seized from her.
"Information was collected from her in the official premises of the Danilovgrad Security Department for the record, and the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the event, who stated that S. Ć.'s actions did not constitute a criminal offense, but rather a misdemeanor, and she will be prosecuted for a misdemeanor," the statement said.
